What is the Difference between an ACCA member and an ACCA affiliate?
ACCA member
ACCA member is the one who has completed all 13 papers and completed all PER practical experience requirements.
ACCA members are fully qualified ACCA professionals with expertise in accountancy and finance professionals
ACCA professionals are entitled to use the designatory title “ACCA” after their name signifying their working professional status as Chartered Certified Accountants.
ACCA members can also vote in the election where they elect leadership positions within ACCA.
ACCA Affiliate
ACCA Affiliate is a candidate who has attended some papers of ACCA but has yet to clear all 13 papers of ACCA Qualification and practical experience requirement.
What is the total number of papers in ACCA?
There are 13 exams in ACCA that have been divided into 3 groups which are
Applied Knowledge Level – 3 Exams
Applied Skills Level – 6 Exams
Professional Level – 4 Exams
Completing all these papers will make a candidate an ACCA affiliate.
Exemption for ACCA Aspirant at different levels of Educational Qualification
If you are a Commerce Graduate Appeared/ Appearing * Enrolled Institution/ University is accredited by ACCA for paper exemption with up to 4 Paper exemptions (BT,MA,FA,LW) and remaining 9 papers to qualify.
If you are an MCom/MBA Student Appeared/ Appearing * Enrolled Institution/ University is accredited by ACCA for paper exemption with up to 4 Paper exemptions (BT,MA,FA,LW) and the remaining 9 papers to qualify.
If you are B-Com + CA-IPCC, you will have up to 6 paper exemptions (BT, MA, FA, LW, TX, AA) and 7 papers to qualify.
If you are CA-IPCC only then there is up to 5 paper exemptions (BT, MA, FA, TX, AA) and 8 papers to qualify
If you are CA Final Cleared then ACCA aspirants can avail up to 9 paper exemptions and 4 remaining papers to qualify.
